This modern lake house for the Doss family overhangs Alabama’s Highland Lake from 60 feet above, on the side of a beautiful wooded mountain slope.  The client wanted a modern design with materials that would age over time.  Corrugated steel was selected which will rust, contrasting with the tongue & groove cypress siding which will age to a warm gray, eventually inverting the exterior skin’s initial color scheme.
